Development of reading comprehension with graphic organizers for students with dyslexia

This academic work has the aim of analyzing the impact of graphic organizers in the development of reading comprehension accordance with the level of English of each student. The theoretical foundation is constructed by the contents previously defined in the problem; with specific bibliography for the scientific content. Statistical analyses of information were taken into consideration. The implementation of this research will permit the creation and design of a handbook with easy-to-read stories that would increase students receptive abilities in a foreign language in the learning process, especially for students with learning disabilities (dyslexia). These analyses determined the importance of the application of a handbook that would include a short and a long text, vocabulary in context, strategies to improve reading skills, and unit assessments to evaluate the knowledge of students in each unit. This will let the students to develop multiple skills with the guidance of the teacher. “Uso y manejo de Residuos Sólidos Urbanos en el centro educativo Tilburg de Educación Secundaria en Matagalpa durante el II semestre 2009”

El ser humano desde que nace entra en contacto con el medio ambiente, es decir, inicia su conocimiento sobre lo que le rodea, va despertando su curiosidad, su interés, e incluso su pasión por saber. Sin embargo, esta conducta genera actividades, que no benefician a la naturaleza prueba de ello es el deterioro del medio ambiente. El presente trabajo se realizó en el Colegio Público Tilburg de Educación Secundaria diurna del municipio de Matagalpa con el objetivo de determinar uso y manejo de los residuos sólidos urbanos. En la actualidad la educación que están recibiendo los futuros bachilleres del municipio en temática relacionadas con el medio ambiente, si tienen un amplio conocimiento del término medio ambiente reflejado por el 92% de los encuestados, en el Colegio Tilburg, quienes lo definen como todas aquellas acciones en pro del medio ambiente. El 83% de la población encuestada reconocen la importancia de la recolección de los desechos sólidos; para la sobre vivencia del ser humano y sólo el 14% de la población estudiantil participa en el proceso de reciclaje teniendo como base que sólo el 33% de los docentes han sido capacitados en uso y manejo de los desechos sólidos. Es muy importante señalar que en la actualidad el Ministerio de Educación (MINED) está enfocado en los ejes transversales la protección y conservación del medio ambiente, actualmente se trabaja con el nuevo enfoque curricular en Primaria y Secundaria donde se orienta a los docentes la necesidad de crear alternativas y promover acciones que ayuden a reducir el volumen de los desechos sólidos a nivel de los centros de estudios, contribuyendo así a la protección y conservación del Planeta Tierr

Stray Voltage Detector

This project proposes the design of a system capable of detecting hazardous stray voltage levels that may appear on surrounding objects due to faulty wiring. The device consists of two sensing directional antennas, analog and digital signal processing circuitry and an LCD display. Utilizing differential signal analysis techniques, the device is capable of determining the direction and distance to a stray voltage source. Targeted mutagenesis in a human-parasitic nematode.

Parasitic nematodes infect over 1 billion people worldwide and cause some of the most common neglected tropical diseases. Despite their prevalence, our understanding of the biology of parasitic nematodes has been limited by the lack of tools for genetic intervention. In particular, it has not yet been possible to generate targeted gene disruptions and mutant phenotypes in any parasitic nematode. Here, we report the development of a method for introducing CRISPR-Cas9-mediated gene disruptions in the human-parasitic threadworm Strongyloides stercoralis. We disrupted the S. stercoralis twitchin gene unc-22, resulting in nematodes with severe motility defects. Ss-unc-22 mutations were resolved by homology-directed repair when a repair template was provided. Omission of a repair template resulted in deletions at the target locus. Ss-unc-22 mutations were heritable; we passed Ss-unc-22 mutants through a host and successfully recovered mutant progeny. Using a similar approach, we also disrupted the unc-22 gene of the rat-parasitic nematode Strongyloides ratti. Our results demonstrate the applicability of CRISPR-Cas9 to parasitic nematodes, and thereby enable future studies of gene function in these medically relevant but previously genetically intractable parasites

Relación entre ciberbullying y bienestar psicológico en adolescentes de instituciones públicas del distrito de Carmen de la Legua Reynoso, 2018

La investigación realizada tuvo como objetivo principal determinar la relación entre ciberbullying y el bienestar psicológico en adolescentes de instituciones públicas del distrito de Carmen de la Legua Reynoso, con un estudio de tipo descriptivo correlacional, diseño no experimental, transversal con un nivel básico. La población de 2364 adolescentes de instituciones públicas de ambos sexos, de primero a quinto del nivel secundario y una muestra constituida por 331, por otro lado, los instrumentos aplicados estuvieron compuesto por el cuestionario de cibervictimización de Álvarez, Dobarro y Núñez (2014) y la Escala de Bienestar Psicológico para Adolescentes (BIEPS - J) Adolescentes (BIEPS - J) de María Martina Casullo (2002). El resultado central de la investigación es que existe correlación inversa estadísticamente muy significativa entre ciberbullying y bienestar psicológico con una correlación de (Rho = -,752**), del mismo modo existe una relación muy significativa e inversa entre el ciberbullying y las dimensiones de Bienestar psicológico tales como proyectos (rho, -488), autonomía (rho, -488) y control de situación y aceptación de sí mismo (rho, -356), asimismo hay una relación no significativa e inversamente proporcional entre el ciberbullying y vínculos psicosociales (rho -,141)

YA is needed for proper nuclear organization to transition between meiosis and mitosis in Drosophila

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>The <it>Drosophila </it>YA protein is required to initiate the embryonic cleavage divisions. After egg activation, YA enters nuclei and interacts with chromatin and the nuclear lamina. This study was designed to define more precisely the events prior to the first cleavage division that are dependent upon YA.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>We find that meiosis is completed normally in the absence of YA function. The first defects in embryos and eggs from mutant mothers first appear just after the completion of meiosis, and are seen as abnormal associations among the resultant haploid nuclei. These defects are associated with asynchronies in the cell cycle-dependent chromatin condensation state of the haploid nuclei. However, we find evidence of DNA replication in the absence of YA function.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Our data suggest YA function is needed at a control point, following meiosis II and the initiation of the first postmeiotic S phase, which is sensitive to the chromatin condensation state of the haploid meiotic products.</p

Diseño de un servicio Web para el control de inventario en la tienda George Cell Matagalpa, Nicaragua durante el II Semestre 2010

Un Servicio Web es una aplicación software, identificado por un localizador uniforme de recursos URL, cuyas interfaces y vínculos pueden definirse mediante XML, que soporta interacciones con otras aplicaciones software a través de mensajes basados en XML sobre protocolos de Internet, ofreciendo la posibilidad de realizar una o múltiples tareas. El presente diseño de servicio web surge a partir de la necesidad de la tienda George Cell de llevar una mejor sistematización del inventario de productos que ofertan al consumidor y que a la vez la información sea accesible para los potenciales consumidores ya que las tendencias actuales son el uso de la tecnología para facilitar el manejo de las empresas. El diseño se realizó haciendo uso de la plataforma Visual Studio.Net siendo un lenguaje orientado a la programación en el entorno web y el gestor de base de datos SQL Server 2005 Express. Para la fuente de información se realizó entrevista al propietario de la empresa encontrando la necesidad que presenta la tienda George Cell de llevar un mejor control del inventario de sus productos. El presente estudio contempla las siguientes variables de estudio correspondiendo a los objetivos de estudio planteados como selección de Información de inventario, diseño de Sitio web, diseño del Servicio Web. Con el trabajo se logró mejorar la organización de la información del inventario y de facturación de la tienda George Cell.
